CETEC is a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the competitiveness of the regional SMEs and companies in the footwear and plastic sector. CETEC was founded in 1994 with the help of the regional administration and regional manufacturers. Currently, it is formed by almost 70 SMSs and companies of footwear and plastic areas.

The staff of CETEC is formed by 12 employees, the majority are engineers or with a chemical degree, and some of them have PhD in Chemistry.

Fuensanta Monzo Sanchez. She holds a Degree in Chemistry and a research proficiency certificate by the University of Murcia. She has experience in the coordination of European FP7 projects, Spanish National Plan and regional projects, as well as in the preparation of regulations. She is a specialist in polymers applied to plasticulture. Since 1996, Ms. Monzo is the responsible of the R&D&l laboratory of CETEC. She will be the Project Coordinator at the project.

José Alejandro Arribas Agüero. He holds a bachelor degree in chemistry, a PhD in chemical science and has specialized in the plastics and rubber. With over 15 years of scientific experience in plastic industry he has worked as a laboratory technician and head of quality and R&D for different companies. He has specific experience related to the development of nanocomposite formulations for different applications. He has over 10 years of experience in extrusión processes as well as identification and thermal characterization of polymers. He has carried out a project to develop nanocomposites with high mechanical properties for greenhouse films as well as other nanocomposite related projects for important film manufacturers in the southeast of Spain.

José Antonio Plaza Hernández. He is the Environmental & Agricultural plastic Project Management in CETEC. He has a Bachelor degree in Agronomist Engineering, a Master degree in Environmental Technology and a Master degree in R&D and Technological Management. He has over 12 years of experience in management and development of R&D projects in the fields of agronomy, energy, water, waste, water waste discharges, and plastics for agriculture, especially in fields such as bioplastics, biodegradable plastics, development of new products, improvement of properties by the addition of nanoparticles and nanocomposites.
